Newland School for Girls Living with Water
The Eco Committee at Newland School for Girls welcomed Lauren Murtagh from 'Living With Water' this afternoon for another great workshop. The focus was on Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDs). The students had to identify an area of the school campus that was prone to flooding and devise a scheme for it. We were really impressed with the variety of different solutions presented. Our profound thanks go to Lauren for leading this session.

Ings Eco Games Workshop with Hull University
It has been a busy autumn term for our Eco Committees and Hull University. The last session today was with Ings Primary School pupils. Dr Steven Forrest and Dr Bianca Kronemann worked with pupils to identify the effects of climate hazards at the school and produce lego models of possible solutions. It was interesting to note how each group first devised barrier defence systems before then making models of rescue systems. It was another highly collaborative session.
