Sidmouth Primary School's Junior Leadership Team have been very busy this term. In the most recent trust Pupil Voice & Influence survey, children across the school had felt that kindness was really important to them and something they wanted to promote and celebrate. The JLT took the bull by the horns and decided to make a video all about Random Acts of Kindness (RAK). They first made a list of RAKs, then filmed some examples to produce a podcast, which was shared in the KS1 and KS2 assemblies. To back this up, they have just finished making RAK posters which are going to be posted around the school. The JLT are reaching out to their peers to do RAKs in their everyday lives and for staff to acknowledge these with Dojo points awarded to individuals. This is a great piece of authentic voice and influence. Well done to Sidmouth JLT. In true 'Lundy' fashion, the children decided that for everyone to feel safe with the filming and broadcast of this work, the podcast is only available within the school).
