Dr Bianca Kronemann from Hull University has led another inspiring session at The Boulevard Academy with 24 students designing their school's version of the Eco Game. The children considered how different extreme weather and climate changes could affect the school campus and what could be done to mitigate against this. There were some really creative ideas.

We had yet another wonderful Eco Games workshop this afternoon at Chiltern Primary School. Dr Steven Forrest from Hull University met with the school's Eco Committee as they discussed the effects of extreme climate change weather on their school. The children came up with some great ways to tackle these issues. The outcomes from today's workshop will be fed into the development of bespoke board game for the school. Students from Kelvin Hall School and The Boulevard Academy have had a session organised by 'Oh Yes Net Zero'. They met at the Jubilee Central building in Hull to learn about different Flood solutions including 'Sustainable Drainage Systems' (SUDs), Tree Pits and Permeable Paving from 'Living with Water' expert, Lauren Murtagh. The students then had to produce a plan for a flood relief scheme on their school site, prepare a presentation and then deliver their case to the rest

Dr Bianca Kronemann, from Hull University, was welcomed by the Eco Committee at Oldfleet Primary School for their Eco Games workshop this afternoon. The children were asked to identify what would happen to their school in the event of some extreme climate challenges. They then built models of part of their schools and possible solutions.

Working alongside Dr Bianca Kronemann from Hull University, the Eco Committee at Priory Primary School have been developing their own bespoke version of the Eco Game this afternoon. The children came up with some innovative ideas for protecting different parts of their school against possible environmental issues. This included some great ideas for their classrooms, football pitches and access routes during drought, flood and snowstorms.

This afternoon, Dr Steven Forrest and Dr Bianca Kronemann from Hull University spent the afternoon with members of Kelvin Hall School's Eco Committee. They were busy developing their Eco Game. There were great ideas from the students to mitigate against Eco hazards for their school.

It's official... Chiltern Primary School children are topping both the regional and the national leaderboards for their participation in the 'Living Streets' WOW 'Walk to School' challenge. This is a phenomenal result which highlights the school's determination to educate families in the importance of cutting carbon emissions and improving health.

This has been the first year of the brand new Eco Excellence In Schools Award from the wonderful C3 Group. All of our seven primary and three secondary schools have strong and proactive Eco Committees who demonstrate time and time again that they are dedicated to helping the environment. Jessica and Aaliyah from the C3 Group have visited Newland School for Girls to meet their Eco Committee. The students have been busy during the last year with various Eco projects. These have included collecting plastic bottle tops as part of the Schoolcycled project, reducing waste and ensuring students were using the correct bins. The students were also eager to share their work in developing a garden area with even more ideas for planting up different areas of the school.

We had another wonderful afternoon with the children writing the game cards and using Lego to help them visualise how the game will play out.

Dr Steven Forrest and Dr Bianca Kronemann worked with Sidmouth Primary School's JLT this afternoon. This is part of an Eco Games development project with Hull University. First, the children had a map of their school, which they had to divide into zones. They then used Lego to replicate features of the school before suggesting possible environmental hazards that might affect these zones.
