The Eco Committee at Newland School for Girls welcomed Lauren Murtagh from 'Living With Water' this afternoon for another great workshop. The focus was on Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDs). The students had to identify an area of the school campus that was prone to flooding and devise a scheme for it. We were really impressed with the variety of different solutions presented. Our profound thanks go to Lauren for leading this session.

A school project about living with water can teach students how communities adapt, solve problems, and understand the environment around them. Education providers face a related responsibility: they must explain programs, schedules, costs, requirements, and student support clearly enough for learners to make informed decisions. Promotional language alone does not show what attending a college feels like. Education should prepare people for complexity without hiding its own important details. Before committing time and tuition, prospective students may use charter college to examine customer experiences and identify questions that deserve direct answers.
