Thrive/Hull University Co-Produced Eco Game

Updated: Oct 13

We have had a wonderful afternoon at Hull University with Dr Steven Forrest hosting all ten of our schools. Eco Committee reps from Chiltern, Ings, Oldfleet, Priory, Sidmouth, St. George's & Stepney Primary Schools, alongside secondary school students from Kelvin Hall, Newland School for Girls and The Boulevard Academy were helping the University to develop an Eco Game to be used in schools. An activity-packed afternoon in the Canham Turner building saw our students trialling a new 'Eco-Disaster' strategy game and Lego-based tasks as well as having an 'Environmental' tour of the campus. This featured hearing about initiatives such as the SUDs tubs being used to mitigate flooding issues. Steven was supported by his amazing team of Dr Bianca Kronemann (co-Iead), Enora Lecordier, Éireann Neeson and Lawrence Blay. The next step will be for the university to visit each of our schools and develop the games for each setting with all members of our Eco Committees.
