Capturing the Voice of Pupils on 'Environmental Stewardship' - a Hull University/Thrive PhD Research Project
We have been collaborating with Hull University on research into 'Environmental Stewardship'. Éireann Neeson is undertaking a PhD on this area and is jointly supervised by Hull University and our Trust. This term she has been leading workshops with our Eco Committees to find out what the pupils understand by this term, what they are already doing in schools and for the pupils to start action planning initiatives in their schools. Thrive Student Congress Pop-Up Parliament
This afternoon, Ruth and Corinna from Hull Young People's Parliament led a Pop-Up Parliament session with students from our three secondary schools. Representatives from Newland School for Girls and The Boulevard Academy joined hosts Kelvin Hall School for a great afternoon. Hull University Eco Workshop at The Boulevard Academy
Dr Bianca Kronemann from Hull University has led another inspiring session at The Boulevard Academy with 24 students designing their school's version of the Eco Game. The children considered how different extreme weather and climate changes could affect the school campus and what could be done to mitigate against this. There were some really creative ideas.
