Books & Chairs for Sierra Leone

It's started! This morning, we began loading up a shipping container with resources for Sierra Leone. Chairs from Clifton, Oldfleet and Stepney Primary Schools together with others from Kelvin Hall School were delivered to a storage depot in Hull. In addition to these, staff and pupils from Stepney have also sent boxes of reading scheme books, destined for their partner school.

Schools in Freetown are desperate for stacking chairs. Another of our schools - St. George's will also shortly be sending a sizeable quantity of chairs and tables to the container, but there is still room for more...

This project is a collaboration of the Freetown Society, the International Pupil Council/Global Schools partnerships. As ever, we are grateful to Siddi Majubah for helping to coordinate this.
