Priory Receive C3 Eco Excellence in Schools Award

Jessica and Aaliyah from the C3 Group presented their Eco Excellence in Schools Award in the KS2 Praise Assembly this morning.

In the summer they had met with the Eco Committee who told them about the tens of thousands of plastic bottle tops they ad collected as part of the 'Schoolcycled' campaign, which is part of the 'MyGroup' company. They had also made a concerted effort to reduce paper usage and wastage. The Eco Committee had used scrap paper to make posters asking people around the school to reduce the amount they use. The slogan 'Think before you print' had been displayed around the school.

Finally, their summer school fair included a stall to buy second hand books, another stall for second hand teddy bears and a third one for school uniform. All of these have been donated by the school population and were then purchased by the school population. Waste not, want not!
