Thrive Students tackle Flooding Issues with 'Oh Yes Net Zero' & 'Living Water'
Students from Kelvin Hall School and The Boulevard Academy have had a session organised by 'Oh Yes Net Zero'. They met at the Jubilee Central building in Hull to learn about different Flood solutions including 'Sustainable Drainage Systems' (SUDs), Tree Pits and Permeable Paving from 'Living with Water' expert, Lauren Murtagh. The students then had to produce a plan for a flood relief scheme on their school site, prepare a presentation and then deliver their case to the rest

Oldfleet/Hull University Eco Games Workshop
Dr Bianca Kronemann, from Hull University, was welcomed by the Eco Committee at Oldfleet Primary School for their Eco Games workshop this afternoon. The children were asked to identify what would happen to their school in the event of some extreme climate challenges. They then built models of part of their schools and possible solutions.

Hull University Eco Games at Priory Primary
Working alongside Dr Bianca Kronemann from Hull University, the Eco Committee at Priory Primary School have been developing their own bespoke version of the Eco Game this afternoon. The children came up with some innovative ideas for protecting different parts of their school against possible environmental issues. This included some great ideas for their classrooms, football pitches and access routes during drought, flood and snowstorms.

This afternoon, Dr Steven Forrest and Dr Bianca Kronemann from Hull University spent the afternoon with members of Kelvin Hall School's Eco Committee. They were busy developing their Eco Game. There were great ideas from the students to mitigate against Eco hazards for their school.
