For two hours this afternoon, the Stepney Pupil Voice Team members were engrossed in their Eco Games development session with Hull University's Dr Steven Forrest. They first identified the different parts of the school site using aerial maps. Then they plotted where potential climate hazards could have most effect before planning and building solutions. Their lego models included flood early warning and barrier systems, special snow defences and emergency protection equipment

Dr Bianca Kronemann from Hull University has led another inspiring session at The Boulevard Academy with 24 students designing their school's version of the Eco Game. The children considered how different extreme weather and climate changes could affect the school campus and what could be done to mitigate against this. There were some really creative ideas.

We had yet another wonderful Eco Games workshop this afternoon at Chiltern Primary School. Dr Steven Forrest from Hull University met with the school's Eco Committee as they discussed the effects of extreme climate change weather on their school. The children came up with some great ways to tackle these issues. The outcomes from today's workshop will be fed into the development of bespoke board game for the school. Students from Kelvin Hall School and The Boulevard Academy have had a session organised by 'Oh Yes Net Zero'. They met at the Jubilee Central building in Hull to learn about different Flood solutions including 'Sustainable Drainage Systems' (SUDs), Tree Pits and Permeable Paving from 'Living with Water' expert, Lauren Murtagh. The students then had to produce a plan for a flood relief scheme on their school site, prepare a presentation and then deliver their case to the rest
