Lucy and Jessica from the C3 Group have visited Mrs Cameron and the Eco Committee at St. George's Priory Primary School. The pupils explained the Eco work that the school has done this year. Action 1 was to collect plastic-bottle top collection for the 'Schoolcycled' campaign, which is part of the 'MyGroup' company. Bottle tops are collected and exchanged for furniture which is made from the bottle tops, compressed into sheets. Pupils, parents, staff and friends have contributed. .
In the second action, they have also had an impact in reducing food waste.
Finally, the Foundation Stage pupils were keen to show all of the things that they have been growing this year.
Lucy and Jessica were impressed by the work of the Eco committee and the school. They had presented the school with a certificate (a plaque will also be presented in an assembly near the start of the new academic year).
